The craft
The case, the bezel and the dial are set with 647 moissanite stones, 8.15 carats in all by the maker’s specification. Beneath the sapphire crystal runs the Miyota 8215, a Japanese automatic calibre, in a stainless-steel case 41 mm across, 47.5 mm lug to lug and 11 mm thick, on a rubber strap in the color of your choosing; some dials carry colored numerals.
On the wrist
Color changes the character of a fully set watch entirely. On a red or orange strap it is a summer watch for the terrace; on black or gray it is ready for the evening.

Questions, answered
Are the stones diamonds?
No. They are moissanite, 647 stones, 8.15 carats in all by the maker's specification: a lab-grown gemstone harder than sapphire, with more fire than diamond. We never describe it as diamond.
Does it need a battery?
No. The Miyota 8215 is an automatic calibre: it winds itself as you wear it, and a few turns of the crown will start it if it has stopped. Its maker quotes a power reserve of more than 40 hours.
Can I change the strap later?
The strap color is chosen when you order. Rubber straps of the same width are widely available if you want a second color later.
Can I wear it in water?
No. It is rated 3 ATM, which covers splashes and rain only. Take it off before washing your hands at length, swimming or showering.
