The craft
The case and bezel are set with 426 moissanite stones, 4.18 carats in all by the maker’s specification, around a Roman-numeral dial with blue hands and a blue cabochon in the crown. Beneath the sapphire crystal runs the Miyota 6T28, a mechanical calibre, in a stainless-steel case 33.5 mm across, 42.5 mm lug to lug and 10 mm thick. The genuine leather strap tapers from 18 to 16 mm and comes in green, pink, purple, red or a silver-toned version.

Questions, answered
Are the stones diamonds?
No. They are moissanite, 426 stones, 4.18 carats in all by the maker's specification: a lab-grown gemstone harder than sapphire, with more fire than diamond. We never describe it as diamond.
Does it need a battery?
No. The Miyota 6T28 is a mechanical calibre, so it runs without a battery. If it stops after a spell off the wrist, wear it or wind it to start it again, then set the time.
What size wrist does it suit?
At 33.5 mm wide and 42.5 mm lug to lug it suits a wrist of about 14 to 17 cm (5.5 to 6.7 in).
Can I swim with it?
No. It is rated 5 ATM, which covers splashes and hand-washing. Take it off before swimming or showering. The leather strap should also be kept dry.
